Classification of Tin Bronze
Author:admin | Release time:2024-08-08

Classified according to material:

Aluminium Tin Bronze

Alloy composition: Mainly contains aluminium and tin, usually the aluminium content is between 5-12%, tin content is between 0.5-2%.

Characteristics: Good corrosion and wear resistance, especially suitable for seawater environment, such as ship propeller bearings, seawater pumps and so on.

Phosphor Bronze

Alloy Composition: Contains phosphorus as an alloying element, the phosphorus content is usually between 0.1-1.0%.

Characteristics: The addition of phosphorus can significantly improve the mechanical properties and wear resistance of bronze, especially suitable for high-precision bearings, electrical contact parts and other applications.

tin bronze

Silicon Tin Bronze

Alloy Composition: Contains silicon and tin as the main alloying elements, with silicon content usually between 1-3% and tin content between 0.2-1.5%.

Characteristics: The addition of silicon improves the hardness and strength of the bronze, which is suitable for applications at high temperatures and high pressure conditions, such as valves and bearings in automobile engines.

tin bronze

Classified according to use:

High Tin Bronze

Alloy composition: Contains a high proportion of tin (usually more than 8%) to enhance its hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Characteristics: Mainly used in the manufacture of high-performance bearings and wear-resistant parts, such as aluminium bronze and phosphor bronze.

Electrical Bronze

Alloy composition: usually copper and a small amount of tin and other alloying elements of the mixture, with good electrical conductivity and mechanical strength.

Characteristics: Used in the manufacture of electrical connectors, motor components and transmission parts and other applications requiring good electrical conductivity and mechanical properties.

Nautical Bronze

Alloy Composition: Generally a copper alloy containing tin and other alloying elements used for corrosion resistant applications in the marine environment.

Characteristics: Able to resist corrosion from seawater and salt spray, mainly used for various structural and equipment components of ships.
