Crusher thrust bearings are mainly used in the following applications:
Supporting the empty eccentric shaft: thrust bearings play the role of supporting the empty eccentric shaft in the cone crusher, reduce the running resistance of the empty eccentric shaft, so that the empty eccentric shaft can rotate smoothly, thus ensuring the normal operation of the crusher. For example, in spring cone crusher, hydraulic cone crusher and other types of cone crusher, thrust bearing is a key component.
Ensure gear meshing: Its installation precision will affect the meshing clearance of the cone gears to ensure that the gears can properly mesh with each other for transmission, avoiding equipment failure and efficiency reduction caused by poor meshing.
Restricting the movement direction of the movable jaw: In the jaw crusher, the thrust bearing is used to restrict the movement direction of the movable jaw, so that the movable jaw can only reciprocate in accordance with the predetermined trajectory when crushing materials, thus ensuring the crushing effect. For example, in some large-sized jaw crushers, thrust bearings can withstand the huge axial force generated by the moving jaws in the crushing process, preventing the moving jaws from shifting or swaying.
Reduce the wear and tear of parts: As the jaw crusher constantly squeezes and rubs the materials between the movable jaw and the fixed jaw during the working, it will produce large impact force and friction force, the thrust bearing can reduce the wear and tear of these forces on other parts of the crusher and prolong the service life of the equipment.
Withstand the axial force of the rotor: the rotor of the impact crusher will generate large axial force when rotating at high speed, the thrust bearing can withstand this axial force to ensure the stable operation of the rotor. For example, thrust bearings are usually installed at both ends of the rotor of the impact crusher to prevent the rotor from running in the axial direction.
Auxiliary adjustment of impact plate clearance: thrust bearing can also assist in adjusting the clearance between the impact plate and the rotor to ensure that the impact plate can effectively impact and crush the material, improve the crushing efficiency and product quality.
Support the main shaft: The main shaft of gyratory crusher bears huge crushing force and gravity, thrust bearing is used to support the main shaft, share the axial force borne by the main shaft, reduce the wear and fatigue of the main shaft, and ensure the long-term stable operation of the crusher.
Adapt to heavy-duty working conditions: Gyratory crushers are usually used in large-scale mines and other heavy-duty working conditions for crushing materials, thrust bearings need to have a high load-bearing capacity and wear resistance to adapt to the harsh working environment.
