Flat scraper is one of the most commonly used tools for scraping copper bushings. Its blade shape is flat, mainly used for scraping the flat part of the bushing or a large area of the contact surface. The flat scraper can effectively remove the high spots on the surface of the bushing, make the surface flat, facilitate the subsequent scraping operation, and ensure good contact accuracy between the bushing and the journal.
There are various sizes of flat scraper, generally the length is about 150 - 200mm and the width is about 25 - 40mm. The hardness of the blade should be moderate, not only should it have enough hardness to scrape the copper material, but also should not be too hard to cause the blade to be easily chipped. Typically the hardness of the blade is between HRC58 - 62.
Triangle scraper
The triangular scraper is mainly used for scraping the inner hole of copper bushings, shaft tiles and other round or curved surfaces. Its blade is triangular, and the three edges can be used in turn, which is convenient for scraping operation in a narrow space. When scraping the inner diameter of the copper bushing, the triangular scraper can accurately remove the high point, so that the inner diameter and the journal to form a suitable fit between the gap.
The length of the triangular scraper is generally about 100 - 150mm, and the angle of its cutting edge is between 60° - 90°, the specific angle can be selected according to the scraping parts and precision requirements. For example, for the scraping of inner holes with high precision requirements, the angle can be selected around 60°, so that the scraped surface is more delicate.
Crescent scraper
Crescent scraper is also called curved scraper, its blade is curved. This kind of scraper is suitable for scraping the curved surface on the copper bushing, such as some special shaped mating parts of the copper bushing of cone crusher. The crescent scraper can fit the curved surface well and ensure the curvature and precision of the surface in the scraping process.
The size of the crescent scraper depends on the actual need, and the radius of its curved blade is generally between 10 - 50mm, which should be selected according to the curved size of the copper bushing, so as to ensure that the blade can effectively cover the scraping area.
